2026 vinyl pressing on Eisenwald featuring a gatefold jacket and 180-gram heavy vinyl made in Germany. Forteresse returns with their trademark fast, blizzard-like black metal, expressing a deep connection to the land, culture, and history of Quebec. Driven by shrill tremolo guitars, relentless percussion, harsh vocals buried in reverb, and occasional folk melodies, the album delivers an immersive and aggressive sound rooted in Quebecois identity and revolutionary spirit. Tracks such as "La lame du passé" and "Le sang des héros" exemplify the band's established approach, combining repetitive guitar passages, furious drumming, and ghostly vocals with melodic elements and a deep bass presence. While remaining firmly within the stylistic territory Forteresse has cultivated over the years, the material retains a raw intensity and a strong sense of purpose. Unconcerned with musical trends, Forteresse continues to channel its devotion to Quebecois history, traditions, and cultural heritage into a relentless barrage of atmospheric black metal.
