Released by Ukrainian label Poizon Records. Formed in Alberta in 1986 as Warthorn and renamed Disciples of Power in 1987, this Canadian band developed a distinctive blend of technical thrash and progressive death metal. “Mechanikill,” their fourth album, takes a looser and more unpredictable approach, mixing technical death metal, thrash, and the band’s eccentric progressive tendencies. While less disciplined than its predecessor, it contains plenty of unusual riffs and ideas that define Disciples of Power’s unique style.
