Staggering return by this killer project associated with the incredible Portland scene surrounding CW Productions. 14 years afteir their debut Bilirubin unveils a new demo release, although with tracks that have been written in 2010/11 and this recording dating to 2016. The opening track had already been present in the "Even Biology is Revolting Despite Its Natural Appeal" from 2018 and the last three tracks were played, although in different versions, on their 2013 session live at Wm. Berger's "My Castle of Quiet". "Man Song" is here publicly mentioned for the first time. Another burst of galloping, ancestral Black Metal from one of the best scenes in USBM. 20 minutes of supreme, potent and fearless hymns combining a Punk-ish stompiness and frantic pace with inspirations from the Central European pagan Black Metal sound and the project's characteristic serpentine melodicism in the guitars also present in Kestrel or Cirrhus creating an humid wind of abstract psychedelia to rustic melancholia. Definitely an outstanding release this year, put out on cassette via CW Productions.
