RITUAL is a death/black metal band from Nový Jičín in Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic, formed in 1993. Until the band stopped its activities in 2003, they continued to create high-quality music while changing their musical style from Death Metal, Black Metal, and Melodic Death-Black Metal. Chapter 2 [Thou Humankind... / Ritus Orgy] "Thou Humankind..." is produced in 1996 after the band shifted to Black Metal. It is a very rare demo, produced in very small quantities for promotion on various labels as a prototype of "Ritus Orgy", but it is a masterpiece that established RITUAL's unique symphonic black metal style. "Ritus Orgy" is a full-length album released in 1997. However, this work was a disappointing one as it was released with problems with the sound mixing. This Double CD is includes rare live recordings from 1996 in addition to these two works. In particular, “Ritus Orgy” has been newly remastered from DAT tapes by the mixing staff at the time, and is now closer to the sound that was originally intended for release. Other bonuses include an interview with founding member Vít Grossmann (part 2), a memorial message to Jan Vala (Hans) who passed away in 2023 (part 2), and a logo sticker.
