Here is the second demo, from Lamp of Murmuur side-project, Silent Thunder. These tracks were written and recorded in a two-day session, as a visceral, cathartic homage to Lam – House of First Light impresario, member of Sanguine Eagle, Hand of Glory and many others, a masterful visionary artist, and an inspiration to many. The honesty of the raw emotion inherent in this demo is palpable, as with many other Lamp recordings. Musically, this is a profound advance on the brief demo from last year, partly as a result of its muse, but also clearly borne from the innate abilities of M to imprint his recordings with an emotive resonance, while spontaneously wrenching distinctively catchy riffs and captivating rhythms from his instruments. Available in digital form from the Lamp Bandcamp now; a tape edition will be released through Out of Season, vinyl will be released by Not Kvlt in due course.
