From the cold riffage akin to Moonblood and other freezing tyrants, to the occult and almost often borderline psychedelic keyboard work, reminiscent of hellenic hordes, portraying visions of a tormenting hell, Selenite Scrolls creates a truly unique offering of Ancient Black Metal revival that sounds simultaneously canonical and fresh. The closure, while very different than the remaining tracks, fits amazingly with the demo, closing with notes of an almost monolithic loss, the weight of a civilization falls on your shoulders and crumbles into the abyss.
