Not exactly a split release, "Freudhek Kothni Sekus Lytherenna" is more of a compilation release that combines 2 demos of 2 incarnations of the same project, which has been Nostalggia's (Obscure Lupine Quietus, Gate of the Silver Star, etc.) main endeavour in the last few years since the formation of the Inverse Solar Reqvriem label. Two excellent pieces of Cornish maritime magic, Ynkleudherhenavogyon, meaning something like elder undertaker, was originally born in 2018, and has in this compilation its 4th and last demo release, titled "Myji", meaning harvest, whereas Venymysgourvleydh (Cornish for venomous werewolf) presents here the "Harvest II" demo release, the project's second. Both of which were originally exclusively released on ultra limited cassette editions, and only now are being digitally delivered. Curiously enough, Venymysgourvleydh was originally intended as a separate project, when the first demo, "Crossed Paths of True Self Reborn" was release, but during the recording sessions of the second Harvest demo, the artist realized it was the moniker and energy flow that should be channeled from there on. Two excellent recordings of cornish mysticism and maritime magic, as evoked by the overwhelming echoing madness of the ocean caves and the vast, endless mirage of the oceanic horizon. Nostalggia channels once again ancient streamflows of heathen energy through the form of his idiosyncratic Black Metal arts and guitar work, with two excellent releases of feral, engaging dark music, both demos perfectly bookended by long pieces of introspective Ritual Ambient.
